Testing Research
The closest testing plan we found for our product is hoe different phone case brands test their cases.
SPECK PHONE CASES
SPECK PHONE CASES
- For their normal cases they simulate dropping a phone in a case four feet over the ground. For their more protective cases they simulate a drop of ten feet above the ground.
- They also run environmental tests against the cases. For example, they test different humidity and temperatures to see if the case will damage the phone. UV rays are also tested to see if they will turn the case yellow.
- Speck tests how different substances react to the case. Common substances are sun screen and popular hand creams.
- Abrasion testing is tested t see how long the case will last and if it can sustain wear and tear.
- Also camera flash tests are necessary to determine if the case will interfere with the flash of a camera
OTTERBOX PHONE CASES
- Abrasion testing for drops of high heights
- Temperature testing to assure it will not melt or cause harm to the phone.
- The UV ray testing so the case will hold color and not turn yellow.
- Common substance tests such as hand lotion, makeup, household cleaners, and human sweat.
- They also make sure all buttons can work with the case on, cables fit properly (head phone jack), call and audio sensors are open.
- One special test carried out is if the case will survive they wear and tear of being pulled out of jean pockets and purses.
